When I moved from Texas to Denver for a good paying job, I had a bunch of stuff I no longer needed. Either I had an additional unit, wasnt going to use the item or I simply went out and bought an upgrade. What I couldnt give away to friends and family, I shot. The Stillen SMICs fit into the latter category. I think if you cant "sell" a pair of Stillen SMICs for a 6 pack of beer, you cant really give them away either since thats basically what I was trying to do. How much does a 6 pack go for these days? Like $8? You cant get 3 gallons of gas for $8. I entertained the idea of having some kind of contest where Id give them away, but I wasnt sure if there would be much interest to warrant the amount of work involved in sanctioning such an event. That being said, they met their demise at the wrong end of a S&W 500 :). I expected I would run into *some* discontent/confusion, so Im not offended by some of your comments and reactions. I thought it was cool, and it was certainly a LOT of fun and I wanted to share. I dont think there are many examples of how well Stillen SMICs handle .50 cal rounds :). If given the opportunity and money wasnt a concern, would you want to blow a pair up? If you had a $550 tv, had no use for it and couldnt give it away, would you have any desire to shoot it? I think a lot of people would come to the same conclusion I did.
